More Than 120 Million People Have No Access To The Bible

Can You Imagine a Life Without Jesus?

For millions of people across Africa, this is a reality. The unfortunate result is that believers are cut off from God’s word, pastors have no way of preaching the Bible, and there is nothing to teach from when sharing the gospel.

The Complicated Problem

In many of the communities we serve, literacy rates are extremely low. In others, the Bible has never been translated into the local language at all — or if it has, printed copies are scarce and expensive. In still others, the communities are so geographically isolated that a local church simply does not exist within walking distance. Beyond literacy, disability often presents a barrier to accessing Scripture – more than 26 million Africans have vision issues, such as blindness, dyslexia and other conditions, that impact reading ability.

The inability to see means an inability to read the Word of God.

It doesn’t have to be this way.

YOU CAN HELP TO CHANGE THIS!

Placing a solar-powered device with a local leader provides an entire community with Scripture access. Pastors and evangelists take these into neighboring villages where families gather to listen, allowing even the illiterate to hear the Word and new believers to share their faith.

In Guinea, our Sierra Leone partner Pastor Wilmot uses audio Bibles during evangelistic outreach, leaving them for new believers to ensure continuous spiritual growth. He has witnessed individuals and entire families transform through these devices. Similarly, in a closed island nation, devices funded by Momentum in Missions sustain a church community with Scripture in their own language long after our teams depart.

These durable, solar-powered devices are built for remote areas without electricity. Preloaded with Scripture, they also allow pastors to record local messages, ensuring the local church thrives well beyond our initial visit.

The Cost and The Goal

A Single Audio Bible Costs $35

We are dreaming of raising $6000 towards providing audio Bibles to communities in need.

For those who want a simple, concrete way to think about their giving: $35 places one audio Bible in the hands of a local pastor, believer, or new follower of Christ in a community we serve. From there, it ripples into a growing and thriving community of believers. Our $6000 goal will enable us to provide Bibles to underserved communities in Africa.Â
